One way to avoid having to choose between your pet and your pocketbook is pet insurance. You’ll be wise to compare terms of two or three different companies and, if you have the opportunity, a group plan. In general, healthy people do better with individual policies; those in poor health or with a family history of disease, may do better in a group.
